5. PhD Optometry PhDO 6 Semesters (3 years)
  • Basic Academic Qualification A minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 (in semester system) or 60% (in the annual system) in the MS(with research) / MPhil (with research)/equivalent degree is required.
    If CGPA is below 3.00/4.00 (in semester system) or 60% marks (in the annual system), candidate may be admitted to a PhD program after fulfilling the following requirements:
    i.He/She will study additional courses of 9-12 Credit hours of level 7 taking a zero semester offered by institute and pass that semester with minimum GPA 3.00 out of 4.00

  • *The students having strong demonstrated interest in obtaining PhD degree, but their CGPA in MPhil (with research) is below 3.00 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or 60% marks (in the annual system) in the most recent degree obtained, may be admitted to a PhD program after studying additional courses of 9-12 credit hours (CH) of level 7 taking a zero semester and score minimum 3.00 out of 4.00 GPA.
  • **The applicant has a strong interest in pursuing a PhD in a different discipline. 18 Years of Education, MPhil (with research) in equivalent field (Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Medical laboratory Technology/ Medical Laboratory Sciences/ Pathology/ Physiology/ Physiotherapy/ Nutrition and Dietetics/Pharmacology/Chemistry). The applicant has passed GRE-Subject/Equivalent Test with minimum 50% marks in the discipline of admission and has taken 6-9 credit hours (CH) of deficiency courses of level 7.
  • GRE/HAT General or TUF Entry Test with minimum 60% score is mandatory. TUF may also conduct subject test for admission in PhD programs with passing score 60%.
